The Republicans’ POV on CHIP.
Undeniably true, but President George W. Bush vetoed over the successful Children’s Health Insurance Plan in the hopes of cutting government expenditures. The program has been made by President Bill Clinton during his presidency so that the children who belong to the lower strata of the society can also enjoy the benefits of having health insurance. President Bush was criticized by some of the Senators, saying that his decision of canceling the said program is something ruthless.
Perhaps, it is better if we delve more into the situation since according to the reports, some Republicans have commented that this might contribute to their loss (in case they lose) in this year’s elections. Do they really have genuine concern for the children, or is this just another political deception sugarcoated with so-called concern?
